…cherry almond scones turn into a cherry-almond-shortcake-type thing AND a cherry-vanilla-chocolate-chip-shortcake-type thing because that’s just how the scone batter crumbles..or sticks…or something.
But anyway, it still looks like a pretty tasty dinner.
When life hands you almost-turning cherries and too-sticky scone dough,
make what you can of it.

If I lived close to you, I swear I would stop over to sample that/those.
By the way, love the tile/backsplash.

They look wonderful — and sorry but I’m pretty sure you’re not allowed to blog about stress if you still have time to bake from scratch! 😉 Also, related to original post, do you think the feng shui is what caused the deluge of business? Hang in there Chris!

p.s. I hate it when those stupid auto-icon things show up. Although, it was a winky face I typed.

Thanks, Facie! Would have been fun to share some cake over coffee. The backsplash was part of our kitchen remodel a few years ago (Mike’s handiwork, of course. It really did turn out nice [it looks even nicer higher up].)
And boatdrinkbaby — what a thought! Maybe the feng shui IS working and I should leave my desk in the middle of the room and printer on the floor permanently? And yeah, baking from scratch when there’s work to be done…if it wasn’t for those darn cherries…
