Time it was, and what a time it was

We had a gorgeous 7″ snowfall over the weekend (not the blizzard other cities got) and it made everything so beautiful and Christmasy — including my mood. We also had dear friends over for our annual Christmas gift exchange, so the house is actually neat and orderly — for a couple more days anyway, if we work at it. PLUS, my sister and nephew arrived safely on Saturday, despite flight troubles unrelated to the weather, AND my brother and sister-in-law are in town for the week.

So, a good time to count blessings and capture a few picture-perfect points in time.

Notice the snapshots (mental or actual) that strike you today — I bet if you look, you’ll be surprised at how many you see, and how happy it makes you feel.

Long ago, it must be, I have a photograph

A quote from one of my favorite songs…and the pictures look lovely. Wasn’t the snow beautiful? So nice to have a white Christmas for once! 🙂

Chris. Your home: I love it and covet it. Well, not the many projects… just the spectacular results. I am inviting myself there this summer to check it out for myself. Just warning you! ; )

Oh thanks Mel! Can’t wait to have a party and pay back all the parties we have enjoyed and not reciprocated (now that many of our projects are finally done — the powder room is the latest hurdle). But don’t wait for that…you are welcome anytime! (You too, Jewels, I think a lot has changed since you were here last…)

In my eyes, you are Martha Frickin’ Stewart. Mel too. I am still waiting to discover my talent, other than eating. I did manage to make sugar cookies for the first time in my life last night!

And, yes, the snow was beautiful. I was glad, however, the roads were pretty clear when I drove the next day.

Oh, Facie, I’m sure you don’t give yourself enough credit. Martha, ha! (I sure can’t seem to cook any of her recipes — plus she works WAY too hard for me.) Plus, as I tell everyone, I don’t have any kids to take care of — that is a full-time job in itself.
